I have a new favorite author of cozy mysteries!

Setting: Tokyo, Japan 🇯🇵
Yay: The main character is a do-gooder detective. Tokyo was described clearly; I felt like I was familiar with the shops around the crime scene.
Nay: There are some awkward phrases that might be due to the translation, e.g. a "lovefest" between a grandma and her granddaughter, and a prevalence of Western idioms and teenage expressions that made it hard for me to differentiate among cha ...more
