What Members Thought

The transcripts of Ms. Hurston's interview with Oluale Kossola, also known as Cudjo Lewis, were fascinating, and I'd give that part of the book 5 stars. The transcripts are about half of the book. The rest of the book contains introductions (yes, plural), prefaces, notes, glossary, an afterword, and other various items tangentially related to Africa, the Middle Passage, and life after slavery was abolished.
