For those familiar with the characters, this book is Stephanie, whereas Gone Girl is Emily.

The 3 unreliable narrators are not distinctive enough due to the weak writing.

I rarely say this, but I hope the movie is better.

This book has everything: lazy plotting, unrealistic motivations, unbelievably stupid charchters and a cliff-hanger ending that spares everyone the consequences of their actions.

Apart from the pacing, everything is wrong, including some small irritating details, like when Stephanie calls Sean from the US to England in the morning and expects him to be asleep, or perhaps that was done on purpose to show how stupid she is.
