Really enjoyable reading experience. I love both stories - one set around 1930 and the other in 1974. The real star of the book was Grand Central Station and even though I have been there many times in the past 8 years since my daughters moved there, I want to go again and find all the places mentioned in the book. I kind of liked how flawed the main characters were - loosely based on real artists in the 1930s. And of course I looked up illustrators in the late 1920s and the Studebaker design of

Fiona Davis has become one of my favorite authors since I first read The Address. After reading The Masterpiece the love affair continues! I really enjoyed this story, characters, the 2 times periods and reading about how NYC was back then.
