Five shining stars. This book had it all, the intrigue, the suspense and the supernatural. Stephen will always be The King, the master storyteller.
First off I highly recommend reading the Mr. Mercedes trilogy before this book if you don't want to have those three books spoiled. The Outsider begins with a child found raped and murdered in a park. Several witnesses along with fingerprints point to the beloved Little League coach Terry Maitland having committed the crime. He's arrested but then evidence comes out that Terry was 70 miles away in front of multiple witnesses when the murder occurred. The police then have to deal with how can som

Biggest compliment is that I couldn't put it down despite it genuinely scaring me in parts. I should know better but there are more things in the universe...although I don't want a reason to believe that. Very solid story although it had to be supernatural and was toying between 4 and 5 stars but Mr King deserves the benefit of the doubt.

Great fourth book for the series. Holly once again comes to help. The Outsider has some very eerie parts and it is pure King. Good book and would highly recommend it.
