This story is told in three time periods. In the 1930's Bianca is a young woman whose family runs the local store on Winthrop Island. She falls in love with handsome Hugh Fisher, a rich man whose family travels to the island during the summer. The second story line involves Miranda traveling to the island in the early 1950's because Miranda's mother has just married Hugh. Solid 3.5 Stars

Once you got the characters straight and timelines figured out it was smooth sailing. That being said it took about a third of the book for me to understand who is who and for that reason I have trouble giving any more stars.

The story was good albeit a tad slow, the characters were all faulty in some way but it all came together plot wise.

I look forward to more books by this author.
