the more that I read the lower my rating on this book. I did not read the first in this series so I do not know if that would have helped me understand Carl's "personality" any better. His responses to people (especially women) were all over the place. As well as Assad. It made the concern that Carl showed for Assad later in the book difficult to believe. The book was disjointed and all over the place. I wanted just a few bits explained instead of seemingly coming from out of left field. One was
