I haven't felt this conflicted about a novel for awhile...
Classic Tyler, a group of beautifully quirky characters who struggle with the bittersweet ache that comes with the acknowledgement of the passing of time. But Tyler herself hasn't acknowledged time passing. There are teenagers who say "jeepers" in the 21st century and just... a feeling of aimlessness. It gets stuck. I want the middle to have 5o less pages and the ending to have 50 more pages. Maybe give me just a taste of what's to come ...more

Willa does not have a strong willed personality at first glance, but as we follow her biography during the course of the book she shows she has more than meets the eye.
It ended so abruptly. Her sons are jerks. Made me sad.
