Not one of my favorite Hilderbrand books, but that didn't stop me from finishing it in just over a day. This one is slated to be first in a series, so it ends with a cliffhanger.

My annual Christmas “trash”, not holidayish but a light vacation read with a little mystery and more to come. I enjoy the yearly series’ this author has been putting out but I do miss the Winter Street crew. A number of editing errors, felt a little hurried maybe? Now onto a holiday read for real!

Enjoyed this especially because it’s set in St. John. There’s something extraordinarily fun about reading a book set in your hometown, so to speak. So that overrides some of the other issues I may otherwise have had with some of the characters/characterizations. That’s what earned this the fourth star. Otherwise would have been three.
Clearly a book that requires sequels to finish. Fun, entertaining, quick read.
