This is definitely a cute, feel-good read, and quite satisfying. The story takes place in Scotland, where a young woman who is a midwife goes to take a break from her business and from the doctors who don't believe in her. She helps out her pregnant best friend by doing the cooking for a tour boat owned by the friend and her husband. She finds more than she bargained for in a widower and his young daughter, and has to make a huge decision that could change her life.
