superawesomekt
This is the only Orson Scott Card novel I've read besides Ender's Game* and I found it very satisfying (though in a different style). I loved the anachronistic Russian / Ukranian setting(s) and it made me want to go re-read the Russian fairytales of Baba Yaga and the Firebird. I stayed up last night finishing it and would definitely recommend it for travel or vacation reading.

*I have since read Lost and Found and enjoyed that as well.
