This is a book about a horny seventeen year old American boy who lives in Italy, spending his days swimming, buying books, having lots of sex, thinking about lots of sex, and staring quite fixedly at his navel. Sometimes there are soft-boiled eggs, apricot juice, and peaches.

This has to be one of the most captivating and beautiful stories I've ever read. It's also very racy. The characters begin to feel like people you could know and relate to, while the scenery is transporting. I need to go to the Italian coast after reading this book.
