Richard Euston gets a message from his long time friend Marty Hewitson via their mutual ex-wife Gemma Conway. Mart is dying of a braintumor and wants Richard to help him with a problem. He wants him to deliver an old attache case to a lawyer. It gets much more complicated, involving the identity of people who claim to be relations of the Grand Duchess Anastasia. Great book, carefully and thoughtfully written
Wildly implausible, of course, but highly entertaining - you want nothing more than to try to keep pace with Goddard as he takes you on the ride.
