Overly repetitious, making the same mistakes over and over with the same results. UGH ... worst read of the year for me.
Beautifully written. Suggested for those who love narrative nonfiction that reads like fiction. There were chapters with such suspense that I had to keep reminding myself that she must have survived to write the book. I waited months for the audio (twice) and it was so worth it.
This woman is amazing. She has achieved so much despite the obstacles placed in her path (mostly in the form of her very unconventional father, abetted by her mother and some of her siblings. She is clearly brilliant and owes much of her awesome education to her own determination to succeed against odds most people would never have dreamed possible.
Wow! I understand the hype! This book was beautifully written, fascinating, upsetting, and well worth the read. Book 2 finished #24in48 @24in48
