Four and a half ⭐️ for this one. I couldn’t put it down. The setting is a small village current day England. Isn’t that one of the best places for a thriller!? Just when you thought you know what will or has happened, the twists and turns force you to rethink it all. Very compelling and fun read. I also love short chapters....like a present every time it’s begins. Oh and how the sister Jules talks (in her head) to her sister Nel, who isn’t present. Love that all the way through the ending.

I definitely would've liked more of the supernatural side of things explored and developed. A lot of the supernatural elements alluded to are never really explained or expanded on, which is disappointing given the opportunity and the mood of the book.

There are arguably too many characters and too many perspectives offered--for the first half o
