So this is apparently my first 5 stars book of the year!!!
It’s heartbreaking and heartwrenching, but also very heartwarming, full of hope, love, and friendship in the midst of one of the most devastating epidemics in history.
I fell in love with all characters, the gay boys from the 80s living in Chicago, where one by one they were caught in the AIDS storm- but still, there’s always hope for better days.
I never read any Rebecca Makkai’s books before, and I can’t praise her writing enough- so prec ...more
