She's got a powerful life story, but I didn't really love the writing style. I think this might be a style common with religious groups? (terms like healing space, circle around, do the work, etc), plus a lot of repetition for emphasis, a jarring combination of past and present tense to describe past events, and jumping around a lot in the chronology, all frustrated me.

I got the point that Black lives matter as do the lives of people of all races and persuasions. I do not think Black people have been singled out to receive unfavorable treatment by members of the White race or Jewish faith or any one else. Treat others as you would have them treat you and you will find that as a whole people are willing to respond favorably.
