Read this because I was looking for another book like The Red Tent, which I loved. I was a little disappointed with this one though. The beginning was a real struggle for me to get through. It picked up towards the end of the middle and then got tough again towards the end.

A nice historical fiction - don't look at it from spiritual/religious point of view- there are some questionable historical facts, even biblical errors. But still, the story of Pilate's wife is pretty enjoyable for me. The narrator is quite easy to be liked, and since I read the Indonesian translated version, the translation is really good. It's hard to find good translated books lately, so this book is a rare gem.
