Oooh... I didn't expect to enjoy this book so much. This is actually my first time reading Karin Slaughter's book and I wasn't disappointed! This book is for those who love psychological thriller (ala Gillian Flynn), mixed with courtroom drama (ala John Grisham) and detailed police procedural- with enough family/sibling drama as well.

I really enjoyed this book. If you enjoy thrillers and not phases by extreme violence and unendingly frustrating situations and sad emotional turns, this one will not disappoint.
I kept thinking this was going to go in other directions, and it’s not the most satisfying in terms of what you’d like to see happen. This was excellent. The characters felt so real that I started to lose my sense of reality and feel like I was actually part of the book. The pages flew by, this absolutely did not feel like a nearly 700 page book.
