This was the most emotional and hardest of the books for me to read so far.
There are a few endings to this story in the end of a century, the end of a major character, and the end of Ross and Demelza's relationship being the central part of the story. Ross continues to be a complex and flawed character and I think the multidimensional aspects of the characters in this series continue to make the Poldark books appealing to me. ...more
