What a beautifully written book. Although I don't agree with the main character's philosophy (atheism), there is so much to appreciate about this book.

An interesting, well-written book but the stories rarely grabbed me. I found the history more interesting, especially in light of Covid. I would have liked the book better if it had been shorter.
This is one of the best books I've read lately. I love the book,manuscript parts the best,both the scenes set in the 1600 and the modern times. Aaron and Helen develop a strange but fascinating relationship.

The 17th century story line was gorgeous; I could’ve done without the 20th and 21st century tales, but I also see how they enriched the book with Jewish history.
My favorite book of 2020. Excellent!!!
