Loved loved this book. It’s dense and long but the writing is superb and transports me back to an era that I don’t usually read about and the historical setting and new perspective of a Jewish woman in Elizabethan London was unique and interesting. Lots of plot twists and the way the story unfolds is gripping and keeps you engaged.
Whenever I finish a story like this, I’m left a little bit melancholy. I can’t help but wonder if these sorts of tales will one day be antiques...if - in an electronic age - the notion of understanding and rebuilding a life by the words they wrote down will be an impossible concept.
This is one of the best books I've read lately. I love the book,manuscript parts the best,both the scenes set in the 1600 and the modern times. Aaron and Helen develop a strange but fascinating relationship.
