Julie James has written basically the same book 7 times in a row (I still haven't read About That Night). Her heroines are usually very driven career women who may be slightly prickly and her heroes are usually good guys who are a bit commitment phobic and they both live in Chicago. For three years I've brought this book with me to read at the beach, and this year I finally pushed it to the top of my pile and read it. I mean, just look at that cover! Does that not scream "BEACH READ!!!" to you? Sadly, the cover is a LIE. At no point in this story does anyone walk barefoot along any beach.
