Eleven people are on a private jet flying from Martha's Vineyard to New York when the plane crashes. A painter, Scott Burroughs, and a four year old boy, JJ, are the only survivors after Scott conducts an epic swim to get them to safety. The third quarter of the book dragged a little bit for me...but overall I enjoyed the hero of the book, and would like an epilogue. What happens to Scott after the doors shut? I hope it was something good, I think he is deserving of something good.
Enjoyable read but definitely a bit far fetched in its premise. Did cause reflection on the 24/7 news cycle and the need to get a story at all cost. Overall a good but not great book
Another good summer read. A private plane crash and then the backstory of all the passengers. I was disappointed in the author's reason for the crash, but I looked forward to each chapter. Would make a good movie.
