What Members Thought
I liked most of the book and then it just ended. The multiple time settings didn't really flow together well and the book ends abruptly. However, the setting and story were appropriate for the season. There were times I felt I was reading The Shining, but it was unique enough to be the author's own. This is my first William Gay book and since it was just published (after the author's death), I think it probably is not his best book and it won't be the last of his books for me.
