Such a bittersweet, lovely, poetic novella about the love between a boy and his grandfather. His grandfather, a scientist, is slowly slipping into dementia, and 'every morning, the way home gets a little longer'. The boy shows such love for his grandfather, who, in addition to the onset of dementia, is also missing the grandmother, the love of his life. It's sad, and so beautiful. A perfect novella- short but complete.

Such real emotion and characters. Can't help but want to spend more time with them, yet the novella captures the relationships and the end of life and memories so beautifully.
