Beautiful.
Heartbreaking and touching.
This made me cry. Everything this author writes is so beautiful and imaginative. His characters feel so real. I don’t know anyone else who writes love this well.
This is a short story that illustrates Dementia/Alzheimer’s from both the perspective of the one losing their memory and those closest. It’s a hard reality with times of clarity and a general loss. This was fine, but didn’t really offer hope or practical advice, which is generally why someone would want to read it. If you are just looking to sympathize with the struggle, then this is fine. 3 stars.
I've been reading too much crime. For those like me, this might help - nobody dies.

Fredrik Backman just gets it. He tells the truth about human nature and he tells it so beautifully. This is short, sweet, sad, and lovely.
