3.5 stars. This started really strong for me but I don’t think switching between print and audio was helping my read of this. Every time there was a song or part of a song, and I was listening, I was so turned off by the tune and the repetition of certain parts of the song that it really started grating on me. I was in a bad mood too, by the time I reached that far into the book.

There's something uniquely magical about Natalie Lloyd's books, and this story is no different. It is a sweet story about family, friendship, hot cocoa, and treasure. Late elementary and early middle grade readers will really enjoy this one.
