Loved this one! Enjoyed both storylines and how they blended together although I have to say the spy storyline was definitely my favourite. Didn't want to put it down... and didn't skim because there was not stuff that didn't need to be there. Definitely recommend! ...more

Lots of wonderful characters!

A variety of wonderful female characters in this fascinating book. A joy to read and listen to. (I bought the Kindle and Audible books.)

The bits about WWI, spies and codes etc were interesting, but the main characters especially Charlotte and Eve were people for whom I could find little empathy.

Historical fiction still reigns as my favorite! And add in female heroines, WWI and WWII, and I have struck gold. Great intertwining, lead up, and a finale that creates a memorable read is a 5 stars for me—iMHO. Hope you enjoy it as much as I did.
