What Members Thought
Wow. This is one of the most devastating ( the way this couple with an inter-caste marriage in the 1980s - I think- is treated when they return to the groom's rural Tamil Nadu village) yet beautiful ( the story of how they fall in love) books I have ever read. I listened to the audio version which is particularly haunting. I listened to the growing tension in the book with a pit in my stomach and I actually wept during the last chapter. I highly recommend this book.
