I always enjoy her stand-alones less than I enjoy her Tess Monaghan novels, and this was no exception. It was compelling enough -- kept me turning the pages -- but the ultimate resolution felt rushed, flat and contrived, and I didn't really buy it as a choice the main character would have made, at least not from the background Lippman gave us. Glad I read it, but it wasn't all that great.
