What Members Thought
While I enjoyed the process of reading this book (Shafak’s writing is engaging), I can’t say that there’s a larger point or takeaway for me. The premise is intriguing but the plot is too embroiled in campus novel stuff, and even though I was drawn to Peri’s backstory, the dinner party frame fell flat and I was disappointed that we barely got to know the other two “daughters” of the story.
