This is the type of book that normally has me running around for joy...wanderlust...romance...exotic food...Gayle Forman...
Nope, didn't work for me. I absolutely did not like Allyson, I wanted to stop reading for so much of the book because I just couldn't take the whining anymore. But then I got to the last quarter of the book and really wished the rest of the book focused more on this awakening. I really liked these last parts.
Not sure if I liked those last parts to try the next book though!

Loved this book! I love travel stories, and this one was such, with a perfect added element of romance in it. I loved how Allyson grows as a character in this book and becomes independent.
