This book is excellent and I look forward to reading the rest of the series but something about it doesn’t feel fully fleshed out. I wanted more, maybe because I’ve been reading Brandon Sanderson who gives you SO MUCH whether you want it or not.

If you like things like Neil Gaiman and Harry Potter and Jonathan Strange and Mr Norrell, this will probably be right up your (Diagon) alley.
