The second installment used the region's wine industry and ecological activists as the basis for a murder mystery. This third mixes the ghosts of colonialism with local foodstuffs (this time truffles) and another dose of the Green Party.

The basic plot is acceptable, but there are numerous diversions into truffle hunting and culinary delights which may appeal or not.

Book #3 in the series. Interesting use of truffles in a mystery. Story, once again, a bit implausible.
