An excellent entry in the Soup Lover's Mystery series, set in Snowflake, Vermont and featuring Lucky Jamieson and her soup restaurant. In this story, Lucky's romantic interest finds himself hiring an old flame, and forgetting to tell Lucky that he was almost engaged to the woman years earlier. In the mystery part of the story, an unidentifiable man is found dead in a ditch, not killed by the accident, but shot.
