No wonder the movie is so charming, it's almost word for word from this darling book. We enjoyed the audiobook very much. Do be warned that the word "stupid" features quite a bit, although I didn't mind discussing this, prejudice amongst the animals, etc. with my preschoolers—one of many important reasons why we read together! ...more

Poor Babe. Farmer Hogget has won Babe at a fair, but he has no use for pigs, and his wife is already beginning to fatten Babe up for the table. Fly the sheepdog takes pity on Babe and begins to teach the pig how to herd sheep.
