Well, I cried for the last 30+ pages, so...a five it gets. I loved this book. It's one of those books that you try a few pages just to see if the time is right and it hooks you right off the go.

I'm not going to rehash the plot, but I will say that this is a fast read, but not an easy one. Hoffman explores loss, grief, guilt, infidelity, mental illness, friendship, family/community, and I'm starting to think God wants me to own a dog, because I keep picking up books where dogs play important rol
