One of my new favourites. I'v often thought about the premise of this book. The notion of who lived in a house over the years and what their lives were like. Hoffman writes with such vivid beauty about the surroundings and situations with both humour and heartache. It is achingly full of heartfelt experiences that cast a spell on the reader up to the last page. Beautifully crafted and a bookshelf keeper!
