I feel bad giving this two stars bc I like his writing style, but the truth is that’s all that appealed to me in this book (the second of his I’ve read).
Folklore was the story vs enhancing the story (as it had been in his other book I read, Lobster Kings). And while I realize it’s a silly thing for a fiction lover to say: I don’t care about folklore. To me it’s akin to sci fi and I’m just not interested.
