It was inevitable I suppose. A long-running, best-selling, mystery/crime series with a serial killer fixated on the lead character - usually in serial books. I've never bought into this as a premise. Reichs is not alone in this plot choice. One finds this in James Patterson's books, Patricia Cornwell's Kay Scarpetta series, and so on.
