What Members Thought
I simply could not get past the sexual preferences of the main character. Call me whatever you like, but I simply did not expected that the novel will open a vivid depiction of his sexual whereabouts, especially since I knew it was about a teenager. All the other good things in the novel remained in the shadow of this.
Apart from this disturbing thing (for me), I liked to learn a little bit how it was during the Spanish flu epidemic in the insular country of Iceland.
