This book wasn't as satisfying as the first 8 books in the Harry Potter series, mostly because it was so different. It's not quite as fun seeing favorite characters all grown up tackling adult problems. However, it was special in its own way - like having the chance to have some time with Snape again or finding out that Malfoy's son Scorpius is really the smart, persevering heart of the next generation. First things first: it's a play; it's written by 3 authors. It is a different type of book (really a script) than the original 7-part series. Best to go with slightly lower expectations. I enjoyed it. I loved meeting the characters again especially now that they are (gasp) 40!
