This is the first of this mystery series that I've read, even though it is the second installment, and I liked it. I like the way the author writes and gives her characters believability while weaving a good plot. She also makes the Singaporean culture understandable to a reader such as me, who does not know a lot about that country or its customs. Some of the food descriptions certainly sound yummy, though.
