What Members Thought
This little coming of age story is billed as YA. Set in Australia during the Vietnam War this story skillfully captures a place and time and places the reader there through the eyes of young school girls. Maybe too skillfully because the details can be lost for readers with no familiarity of the backdrop. Names of actual people and references to news stories are dropped with no explanation. The story supports itself if the reader doesn’t catch those references. I agree with other reviewers that
