What Members Thought
I thought the time traveling part of this book was awkward. It wasn't clear how the heroine made it from one time period to another, not to mention that said heroine wasn't sure how she did it either, but the historical part about 14th century Sienna and Italy in general at that time period was fascinating.

This is a 3.5 for me. About 30 pages in, I almost gave up but decided to stick with it because it crossed off a category for a reading challenge and because I love Siena and was interested in getting to that part. Glad I did because the book got much better as it went along. I felt invested in the characters and went completely down the rabbit hole on The Black Plague. I've got to read and learn more about this terrible time in history.
