This book reminds me so much of The Westing Game so I can't resist to give it 5 stars :D The characters are great (although a bit one dimensional but that's still fine), the puzzles are terrific, but one thing I love the most is the reference to some cool children books. Loved this middle grade story. Of course I love any book that is based on books or libraries. Also, I love Grabenstein's John Ceepak mysteries, so I had to check out this series. ...more

Hmm. I can't decide what I thought of this book. It is about these kids that have to find their way out of a library by using all these dewey decimal clues that lead them to books in a super technologically advanced magical library. It was a lot like Charlie and the Chocolate Factory except it takes place in a library instead. At times I found the characters and story eye rollingly contrived and annoying. Other times it was endearing and fun. ...more

This book had our full attention from cover to cover. It was so much fun trying to figure out the clues that led to the escape from Mr. Lemoncello's library. This is a story for everyone, but you will particularly enjoy it if you are a children's literature junkie. Or if you like balloons. ;-) ...more
