You know those weird, quirky movies where you start watching and you think, what the hell? But then in the end, you get it, and it just seems like the perfect way to tell the story? This was just the weird quirky part, no payoff.

This is an odd book but I loved the writing and Levy's very funny and original point of view. I read it in two days by the sea in a similarly hot setting as the book's so that may have had something to do with how much I enjoyed it. Either way, highly recommended.
