Despite the often-tough subject matter, this was an easy read, written in a journalistic style.
Two criticisms - both aimed at the publishers. Following the release of the film the book title has been changed to "Philomena" but she is only in two small parts of the book - this is very much her son's story. The second criticism is that there are two sets of photographs and positioning of the second set gives away the ending before the reader gets there.
