Ricordo che ero a St. Albans, a nord di Londra, a lavorare in un ospedale mentale, quando la Penguin pubblicò l'edizione popolare di questo libro la cui copertina riproduco qui a fianco. Costava soltanto "three and six". Erano i "ruggenti anni sessanta". Eravamo tutti più giovani, tutti in Inghilterra a studiare l'inglese che emergeva giorno dopo giorno e rodeva spazi al francese. Tutti a Carnaby street a vedere Mary Quant e le minigonne, a sentire alla Radio e in TV gli "scarafaggi" di Liverpoo ...more
